Not bad! I was really groovin' to the first part of the tune! Once the dubstep hit though it kinda fell flat for me. It sounded a bit dry, and didn't seem dynamic enough. On top of that, it seemed very fl studio in terms of instrument choices, which isn't really a bad thing, but it's not in my taste. Still a great track, and it did get me boppin!

ChaozBlasters responds:

Thanks, yeah ik it’s pretty bad, I only have stock plugins atm, but for my birthday I’m going to ask for serum, and some other plugins, but thank you for your response! ❤️

Damn! Top notch! I really loved the vibe of the intro, and honestly could've just jammed out to more of that shit! The vocal harmonies were really great too. I thought the screamed-up vocals were a little too goofy for my taste, and thought that the earlier vocals were really something great and kinda wish it stuck to that, but that's just personal preference. Again, really well crafted.

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you dig it! Yeah the screams are a little goofy but I love doing it lol everyone's gotta preference no biggie homie! I think I'm too shy with clean singing so I'm not 100% on keeping it soley that yet. But it's all in the works brotha! Thanks for listening!

That is some good shit. I really got bopping to this. Top notch! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback :D

The instrumentation here is frankly really bad. I don't mean to sound cruel, but it's really painful to listen to. I agree with trash-man-1, in that you need to have ground to stand on. Now the dubstep itself did sound "dubsteppy", but still too ear-grating, but really its whats around that (between 0:00 and 0:28, and between 0:57 and 1:36) that is truly painful to listen to. I'd suggest spending more time on getting some tolerable sounds, and the put more effort into a melody.

Now I don't mean to sound harsh at all, keep up the work. There IS potential here. Keep at it and you'll get better.

For your purposes as video game music, you seem to have done a pretty good job, and I could definitely see this in a military style rpg. That being said, for the first half of the song (up until about 1:12) the composition seemed a little stagnant and muddled. It could definitely use a little more variety, as a gamer could get pretty tired of that same march of the brass. I really liked some of the melodic ideas you had, like that bit between 1:17 and 1:30, and from there you play around a little more rhythmically, which was nice, but it would be better if you developed some of those melodic idea a bit more.

As for the instrumentation, I think it's pretty good, but that low brass really could get annoying if this is playing on repeat.

All said and done, it's a fine composition, and good luck with your project

Trash-Man-1 responds:

Thanks for the review. I agree, I could use more variation, and I'll be sure to keep this in mind in future songs. I need to find that fine line between enough variation, and not going all over the place (which is usually where I end up going). I'll continue to work on the issues, and try to refine what is already going the right way.
